Steamboat Ski Trip

The first trip of 2025 is Steamboat Springs, CO Ski resort for Jeff and Janie.  We stayed at the Homewood Suites just a 10 min free bus ride to the slopes.  Travel was easy and glad we got a rental car for getting out for dinner.  The hotel is on the far south side, but easy access to everything.

Jeff did try to make the trip harder by forgetting his ski pants.  A trip to Walmart solved the problem with a $50 purchase of a tan ski pants.  Janie can now find Jeff on the mountain.

Monday Jeff skied by himself as Janie watched the inauguration and avoided the -5 degree temperatures.  Tuesday Janie joined Jeff along with Wednesday.  Day 3 was not great for Janie as she fell at the end of day 1, so spent some good time in the mountain lodge between ski runs.  Jeff skied Thursday by himself with cold and snow continuing.  Monday night we hit -28 degrees in Steamboat.

Dinners included hamburger, mexican, italian with Mountain Chili on the slopes each day.  Great frigid visit to one of our favorite resorts for skiing.
